What do you think is a possibility in terms of the drivers market and the shape of the grid in 2010?
Im not saying this will be the grid but it looks fairly possible for me
Ferrari –
Alonso
Kubica
McLaren –
Hamilton
Raikkonen
Brawn –
Button
Rosberg
Renault –
Heidfeld
Grosjean
Williams –
Barrichello
Hulkenberger
Toyota –
Glock
Kovalinen
Red Bull –
Vettel
Webber
Torro Rosso –
Buemi
Alguersuari
Force India –
Sutil
Liuzzi
Manor –
Fisichella
Gary Paffet?? dont know really just a suggestion
Campos –
Trulli
Gachgnang (I hope becuase I fancy her lol) but more likely
Andy Soucek
US F1 -
Graham Rahal / Scott Speed
Jacques Villeneuve / Alex Wurz
these choices seem reasonable to me overall but I just wondered what other people reckon as to who may go where and what the grid for 2010 may look like
thanks for reading and curious to see peoples suggestions as to what may happen =)
If the announcement of Alonso going to Ferrari becomes official, then it will be like a domino effect. If Alonso doesn’t go to the prancing horse and Kimi stays put with Massa, then the silly season will become way less silly. These are my predictions "IF" Alonso goes to Maranello:
Ferrari: Massa, Alonso
McLaren: Hamilton, Rosberg
RedBull: Vettel, Webber
BrawnGP: Button, Barrichello
Toyota: Glock, Heidfeld
Renault: Grosjean, Kubica
Williams: Hulkenberg, Trulli
Force India: Sutil, Liuzzi (Chandonk)
Toro Rosso: Buemi, Alguersuari
Manor: Carroll, Kovaleinen
Campos: DeLaRosa, Petrov
USF1: Wurz, Summerton
(BMW): Piquet, Senna
I had to throw in the new team taking over BMW. I would like to see Piquet Sr. as part owner, with two Brazilian drivers, Piquet Jr. and Bruno Senna (Senna-Piquet…deja vu…ah, sweet memories).
In your selections, you omitted Massa!!! And Kimi has really only 2 choices: Stay at Ferrari or leave F1. He is not going to any other F1 teams anytime soon.
As far as Natasha…I doubt it very much next year. Maybe in the future.

The US f1 team have stated many times that they want American drivers so that rules out Villeneuve and Wurz. Also I can’t see Rubens going anywhere soon.

Campos want at least one Spanish driver (so that’s either De La Rosa or Gene) and the other driver will probably be a GP2 graduate (Petrov or Hulkenberg) or Bruno Senna.
Raikonnen will probably move to rallying rather than go back with McLaren.
I doubt Barrichello is moving from Brawn if he wins some other races, and while Alonso is sure to go with Ferrari I think that Rosberg will go to McLaren unless Williams become competitive again, and Kubica will go to Renault.
Toyota’s future is uncertain (infact I doubt they compete next year) and Peter Sauber, Nelson Piquet or David Richards might buy the BMW team so maybe Heidfeld and Kubica will stay there, or if Kubica leaves Piquet Jr makes a return into his daddy’s team (lol).
You seem to have forgotten Massa. He is recovering very well and I think he stands a chance of returning to the Ferrari cockpit.
One very important thing…the big teams all want to enter a third car in the races, and if teams such as BMW, Toyota and Force India (whose owner hasn’t paid his workers for weeks) stop racing I think that this is the only way we’ll keep a 20-car grid. Imagine a Ferrari team made up of Massa Alonso and Kubica…wow that would be like a dream team

I think Rosberg will go to Mclaren and Kubica will go to Renault. Brawn will keep their drivers. As for Ferrari, the Alonso rumours intensify and it looks like that’s where he’s heading, but Raikkonen has been very strong in the past few races. I have a hunch Massa will be the one shown the boot, possibly ending up at Williams with Hulkenberg.
Heidfeld will probably get a drive with the BMW replacements, and Trulli will slot into a new team, with Kovalinen a likely replacement as you’ve suggested.

PaperClip | Aug 25, 2009
Scuderia Ferrari- Kimi Raikkonen , Felipe Massa
Team Mclaren-Mercedes – I doubt Kove staying, Lewis Hamilton
Brawn GP- Jenson Button , Barichello (if he doesn’t retire)
Renault: Fernando Alonso , not sure about the other driver..will Kovalainen be back?..cld be!
Wiliams: Nico Rosberg , Nakagima will be kicked out dont knw who will replace him..
Toyota- Timo Glock , Jarno Trulli (i dnt think anyone can do better than him…for me its the fault of car not driver..though even the drivers arent the best…but this is what Toyota can get with their kinda car)
Force India – Adrian Sutil (no point in replacing him..he has performed really good) , Fisichella..if not….than Karun Chandhok…who thinks Vit-an-tonio Liuzzi is better than him!!!…
Red Bull -(renault?) – mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel
toro Rosso- Sebastien Bueimi, jamie Alguesuari? ( i have a feeling, whether this cld be the last season for this team though)
BMW-sauber- heidfeld and kubica retained..even if purchased by a new buyer.. if Nelson Piquet purchases it…Kubica could be shown the door.
Manor GP- not sure so cant comment
Campos GP- all spanish guys maybe…
US F1: villenueve and other dont knw.
